SMM2 TOP100

What is this?

The SMM2 TOP100 is a community-curated list of the 100 most difficult player-made levels in Super Mario Maker 2 for Nintendo Switch. Our community of over 500 Discord members and YouTube subscribers works together to maintain and update this list.

How does the point system work?

Each level has a point value determined by its placement:

• #1: 1000 points
• #2–5: (−125 × placement) + 1125
• #6–20: 538 × (0.9642^(placement−1))
• #21–50: 396.0208 × (e^(−0.023 × placement))
• #51–100: 423.5 × (e^(−0.02493 × placement)) + 3

Rank System

• Novice — 10+ points
• Intermediate — 50+ points
• Advanced — 100+ points
• Professional — 250+ points
• Master — 500+ points
• Grandmaster — 1000+ points
• Legend — 2500+ points
• GOAT — 5000+ points

Role System (Discord)

• @Diamond — At least one top 5 clear
• @Gold — At least one top 20 clear
• @Silver — At least one top 50 clear
• @Bronze — At least one top 100 clear
• @List Level Uploader — Uploaded level on the list that you clear checked

How the list is maintained

The list is automatically updated using the TGR API to pull data directly from Super Mario Maker 2. When a player beats a level in-game, the leaderboard updates automatically via Google Sheets and Apps Script automation.

How to participate

1. Join our Discord community
2. Check the list for levels you want to attempt
3. Use the level code to play in Super Mario Maker 2
4. When you clear a level, our system automatically detects it
5. Watch your points and rank increase on the leaderboard!
